Don’t Leave Home Without a Good Guidebook

Lonely planet trip guides are excellent travel resources. They help you find things you’d never even think to look for. I’ve found that some of my most memorable experiences were unplanned and happened because I opened the guidebook and picked out something to do.
I personally like the way the information in the guides is arranged. Each region is separated and often colored coded for easy reference. Within each region, there are detailed maps and information on sleeping, eating, partying (or other activities), shopping, transportation, and insider tips. This is just a summary, of course. There’s a lot of information packed inside each book.
I take a Lonely Planet trip guide with me on most trips. Actually, I recently purchased the California Coastal guide for a coastal road trip I’m taking in a couple of weeks.
Check out the Books&More section in my Travel Store to get a sampling of some of the trip guides available from Lonely Planet.
